The book you couldn't put down because the character couldn't let go. The one where someone wanted something — a person, an object, an idea, a life — so badly it consumed everything around them. Maybe it made you uncomfortable. Maybe it made you understand. Maybe it made you look at your own fixations a little too closely.
Romantic obsession. Creative obsession. Obsession with status, beauty, revenge, belonging. Whatever form it took, it drove the whole story.
